It's no secret that the natural disasters in Japan and Thailand in 2011 crippled many businesses - both large and small alike. As such, we know that Toyota was hit particularly hard, and they spent much of the year restoring and restructuring the wake of the damage done. But Hanford Toyota Scion has some bright news for 2012 - Toyota is ready for a comeback!
They took on this endeavor just in time for the 2012 North American International Auto Show. Stephen Beatty, Managing Director of Toyota Canada explains, "When you look back over the last couple of years, there was a need for us to demonstrate that the company is on the move, that we haven't walked away from the core qualities of durability, reliability and fuel efficiency."1 They also announced plans to unveil concepts in Detroit that would reinvigorate Toyota drivers and fans.
More specifically, Beatty says, "There's passion, energy and excitement in our brands as well, and that starts right at the top with Akio Toyoda, CEO of Toyota Motor Corp...He's wanting to make sure that every vehicle we produce now has that sense of style, passion and excitement."2 Part of this initiative includes the Toyota NS4 plug-in hybrid that made its first appearance in Detroit, capturing the spirit of fun that the automaker hopes to streamline throughout their lineup. The other part of this initiative will take shape among the ten vehicles that will define Toyota's small car lineup by late spring.
Beatty concludes, "From our standpoint, what we're able to do is offer everything from the most fuel-efficient, conventionally powered car...to the latest member of the Prius family with its new technologies."3 Hanford Toyota Scion agrees, and we think you will too. So we invite you to stop by our showroom, located at 1835 Glendale Ave Hanford, CA 93230 to take any of the fun and fuel-efficient new Toyota models for a spin.
